Private pages (listed below) are available only to members of the Smith College Class of 1961 who have registered and received a username and password.

Private pages are extremely unlikely to appear on Internet searches or provide info to spammers. The smith61 pages are not, however, encrypted. While all reasonable precautions have been taken to ensure the privacy of all pages and information in the restricted area of the website, we can make no guarantee that the pages are secure.

A username and password will be provided to members of the Class of 1961 who register on the website. Please do not share these with others, including other members of the class of 1961. The dual purpose of registration on the website is to limit access to members, and to help in maintaining our current contact information .

If your computer is used by others, please do not store the username and password on your computer. Please enter them manually each time you log on.

Cookies: This class website places no "cookies" and collects no information from your computer. There are, however, links to other websites, and we have no control over the policies and procedures of these sites.

The class officers and web administrator reserve the right to amend privacy policies as needed without notice.

SITE POLICY

DISCLAIMER: The Smith College Class of 1961 (SC61) is an alumnae organization independent of, but affiliated with, the Alumnae Association of Smith College (AASC). Information on this website is intended for individual communication of a personal nature among SC alumnae, particularly members of the Class of 1961. Use of this information for any other purpose is strictly prohibited. Accuracy of the information on this site cannot be guaranteed. SC and the AASC are not responsible for site contents.

I. The GENERAL PURPOSE of this site is to share news and information of interest and related to the members of the SC61, with continuous updates.

PRIVATE PAGES will include some or all of the following:

• Class Officers
• News: newsletters and items of interest to the class.
• Photo Gallery: Please submit pictures such as class reunions, mini-reunions, college days, & your families.
• OUR PERSONAL, PROFESSIONAL, or FAVORITE WEBSITES: We hope this will provide us with the opportunity to explore and support each others' work and activities. These links include the site name, the URL address, a brief description of the site, and the name of the submitter.
  
  NOTE: Websites must have appropriate content. If there any questions about a site, you will be contacted directly to discuss them. The class officers reserve the right to determine the admissibility of any link, which, in their sole discretion, is considered questionable for any reason. It is possible that a link will be included, but, if determined to be inappropriate, will be removed after having been initially listed on the webpage.
• Dues/Donate: UNDER CONSIDERATION. This page COULD include information on paying class dues and on making charitable donations to SC. It COULD include a link to PayPal, so class dues can be paid online by credit card. It COULD also include contact information for all class gift chairs and a link to the SC Advancement Office.
• In Memoriam: information about classmates who have passed away.
• Lost Classmates: a list of lost classmates together with a Lost Classmate Information Form that can be submitted directly to the class secretary and web administrator through the website.
• Class Donor List: a list of classmates who have made current reunion year gifts at various donation levels. (If you wish to have your name removed from the list, please notify ??)
• Class Directory: The registration form allows you to opt in or out of the Smith61.org directory, which is for personal and/or class-related use only. Please do not use it for any type of solicitations.

These external websites, including the SC site, are governed by their own site and privacy policies. If the site pertains to a classmate, please contact the classmate directly.
• 2) Pictures on this site are for your personal enjoyment only. If you wish to use them for another purpose, please obtain permission from the classmate who owns the picture.
